Everybody is”On the clock” before the clock strikes 5pm-and the NBA Draft starts.

Storylines in every corner of the NBA at this hour:

MILWAUKEE…The Bucks, facing a Giannis Antetokounmpo deadline, sat and watched the bidding war change late Monday night.  For hours it looked like the Boston Celtics had the inside track for the hi-scoring power forward, but things went sideways.  Depending on which rumor you buy, either Boston backed out at the last minute,unwilling to give up G-Jaylen Brown, or Miami showed up with such a lopsided offer-the Cetlcs blinked, and the Heat won the bidding war.  Giannis and veteran F-Bobby Portis go to the Heat.  What a Bucks haul, 3-#1 picks, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jacquez, young big man Ka’lel Wareand F-Kas Jaukcianus.  Indeed a blockbuster haul 7-for-2.

DETROIT…Is there some type of sign and trade deal coming involving C-Jalen Duran or other young players for an established star going to the Pistons?

KNICKS…Days after their parade, with Owner James Dolan saying he ‘could not bring the entire roster back’…would they dare ship C-Mitchell Robinson to Boston as is rumored?

TORONTO…Looking to add bigs, is bringing in the Bucks Myles Turner in a trade the right deal?

SAN ANTONIO…Some season but a bad finish.  What about this move of G-DeAaron Fox for the Pistons bad boy C-Isaiah Stewart?

MEMPHIS…Saying goodbye to G-Ja Morant, his talent and baggage, possibly to New Orleans?

NEW ORLEANS…Is a significant deal for F-Trey Murphy coming down the turnpike, and to where, Lakers-Warriors?

MINNESOTA…Rumors they want guard help, possibly Josh Giddey-Bulls, Derrick White-Boston?  They rid themselves of the erratic Julius Randle-a salary dump to the Nets.

LAKERS…it’s been talked about for more than a year, now maybe it happens, big C-Walker Kessler to LA for a load of draft picks and maybe Rui Hachimura?  Does all this happen before resolution to LeBron James-Austin Reaves contract status?

CLIPPERS..I find it hard to believe moving F-Kawhi Leonard anywhere is a good move, but I also find it shocking there has been no decision from the NBA on the Salary Cap violation probe involving the player and his club-don’t you?

Oh by the day, there is the draft at 5pm-Pacific coming, and who knows where all the blue chip talent goes, from Peterson-Kansas…Dysbansta-BYU…Boozer-Duke to the run of really good guards beyond that?
