The QB Club meeting has begun…a look at the NFL-College Football Weekend:

CHARGERS-RAIDERS…Did you believe what you were watching?…The Bolts back to back home losses to the Arizona Cardinals and the Raiders, who were a combined (6-28) last year.  Nothing looks right..nothing fits…it’s like the offense is moving in quick sand..A horrific day-Justin Herbert 3-fumbles..3-sacks..2 interceptions…an Omani Hampton fumble…8-penalties including 4-to RT-Joe Alt..a missed Cam Dicker field goal off the upright…a holding call in the endzone that resulted in a safety…Blown coverages in the secondary by rookies…Overthrows-underthrows-tipped passes at the line of scrimmage…Dropped passed (Quentin Johnston)……No deep shot passes…that’s the Bolts report card…And they were not playing a great Raiders team-more pedestrian than star studded…Kirk Cousins hung in there while getting hit (253Y) passing-3TD…Ashton Jeanty had no room to run (42Y)..Tre Tucker had the game of his life (5R-119) because of botched coverages…some guy named Cody White caught two TD passes against rookies in the back end….Never saw this start coming…Never thought I’d say-maybe Mike McDaniel was not the right hire as Offensive Coordinator…nothing fits ‘Square Pegs-Round Holes’ on offense.

VIKINGS-BEARS…Yeah you bet that Carson Wentz would beat Caleb Williams…an all defense game in the rain at Soldier Field-how was this possible?

PATRIOTS-STEELERS..Bounce back game for Drake Maye even without some of his weapons-not much of a showing by Aaron Rodgers.

PACKERS-JETS..Jordan Love finds a way to win while losing 5-starters on his offensive unit with injuries.

BROWNS-TAMPA BAY…Guess Deshaun Watson gets to make another start after a weird road win..Guess people are wondering why all these turnovers from Baker Mayfield.

BENGALS-HOUSTON..Can you believe the Texans are (0-2) starting the season and both losses came at home?

DENVER-JAGUARS..Bounce back game for Box Nix-Sean Payton and the Orange Crush defense-ask a struggling Trevor Lawrence.

SEATTLE-ARIZONA..That was not a comet falling from the sky-but the Cardinals offense brought back to earth by the Seahawks defense.

LSU-OLE MISS…Yes the sign entering the College Grove walk area where players headed towards the Stadium in Oxford pretty much summed it up…’Geaux to Hell’…Written in french script-directed at LSU coach Monte Kiffin…LSU walked into a firestorm, blitzed early, lost a lopsided game they were never in..Signs..boos…obscene gestures and noise like they have never seen before…Of course this rivalry is 106-years old and it has always been about turncoats, whether it was Archie Manning crossing the state line to go be a Rebel or Billy Cannon exiting the cotton state to go to Baton Rouge…What an outing for QB-Trinidad Chambliss (363P-3TD) one of many who refused to leave Ole Miss to go with Kiffin to LSU…Alot old school Southern Football Hate.

USC…Played someone, almost a no-one, and almost lost in a wild crazy day with Rutgers…The Trojans may be (4-0) but they have not beaten anyone…Rutgers had already lost to teams that were (1-22) last year, and nearly beat USC’s defense..Yes Lincoln Riley’s offense piled up (461Y) but no his defense could snot stop the lowly Scarlet Knights (460Y)…USC still has to prove its unbeaten self.

UCLA..Shootout win vs Purdue in typical Bruins fashion…Power Football…Scampering QB..and an aggressive defense that gets better and better…Wayne Knight (177R)..and an UCLA package that had (369Y) rushing and (635Y) overall…Big 10 rivals beware.

AZTECS…i said statement game vs James Madison and the end result-just more of the same…Erratic QB play-missed opportunities with wide receivers-a struggling defense…Trailed (19-0) before what few fans turned out (17,111)…too big a hole to climb out of…QB-Jayden Denegel threw alot of bad balls early…then threw balls up for grabs his kids to grab and they did…Defense did play much better in 2nd half..but too much to overcome..Most stunning thing to be about Sean Lewis…in 3rd year of all this..and the QB play is still a problem regardless of who is chosen to run the so-called Aztec fast package…Great first game debut of RB-Jadavian Kinnard, the transfer from Colorado State, with (251APY)…Bothersome too, no one in San Diego seems to care about this program.

OREGON…An (84-0) win over Portland State..why play them.
