That is about all I can say after a Wednesday afternoon and evening of baseball.

PADRES…Tough debut for Casey Mize, knocked all over the yard by the struggling Arizona Diamondbacks in his debut game coming from the Tigers.  Was in hot water from the first inning on, and then gave up 5-rocket shot hits in a row in the 4th inning.   His first outing (3.1innings…8R-9H-3W)…..So we will wait to see what Robby Ray brings us in his debut start on Friday.

As if that was not bad enough, check your inbox for the Padres Email… they are raising ticket prices 3% more next year, the 6th year in a row for a price hike.  That is a total of 60% increases over the six seasons.  Pricey to go see the Friars isn’t it?

DODGERS….Do you believe this, this six game losing streak?  The Gold Star pitching staff is a bit beat up.  A veteran lineup of stars, not hitting.  And a crisis at catching too.

Shohei Ohtani is shutdown from pitching.  Blake Snell suffered a setback in what was supposed to be his final rehab start.  Eric Lauer got strafed at Wrigley Field.  Who knows about Tyler Glasnow’s durability.

Will Smith is out till September with the neck issues and now his hot hitting young backup Dalton Rushing has a torn elbow ligament.

But it’s the aging-expensive batting order that is a real problem.  A substandard Kyle Tucker-summer.  Teo Hernandez looks old.  A real struggle of a season from Mookie Betts.  Yes home runs but not much else from Max Muncy.  Virtually nothing from the bench.

And with 6-weeks left in the schedule, could the Dodgers lose homefield advantage in the in the NL playoffs?  Could they blow a first round bye?  Maybe.

ANGELS…They have a plan-rebuild thru the farm system and then fill in with free agents.  But that takes time.

Outside of Mike Trout-there are no stars in the lineup.  There is virtually no name starting pitching.  The bullpen is young.

And if you look at the scorecard, this franchise has had streaks where they went 1-11…1-8…1-7…1-8….1-6…1-5.  That’s alot of losing.  What a long road back this is going to be.
