Have you look across the street at the neighbor’s yard?

Not a pretty sight.

Our attention here on the West Coast has been the Padres fight to get into the NL-Wildcard race.

Across the street, the AL-Race, nobody deserves to be there.  A quick look at the bad look:

YANKEES…Spent the first half of the season waiting for Gerritt Cole, Carlos Rodon, Max Fried, Luis Gil to get healthy and get back in the rotation.  Since then there is no Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup.  They just don’t have enough firepower, and they are the best of the worst teams fighting to get in.

BOSTON…Awful start, a mid summer hot streak to match the weather, and then they lose to the lowly Athletics and cool off.  Pretty good lineup, everyone contributes.  A bit thin on the pitching staff and there is no Garrett Crochet sighting coming yet.  In, maybe, by maybe one and done.

TEXAS…If Corey Seager can stay healthy for any stretch of time, they might have enough bats to hit home runs.  But there’s not enough pitching and now Nathan Eovaldi has a barking elbow.

DETROIT…Trying to hang in there with their  bats, after they traded Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize at the deadline.  Don’t think this is possible.

TWINS..Joe Ryan, leader of the staff is on the DL.  So is veteran bat Byron Buxton.  Please don’t tell me a lineup led by Josh Bell and Kody Clemens is supposed to be in the postseason.

CLEVELAND..Scary good if healthy, but Jose Ramirez is still sidelined on the DL, but they do have alot of contributing bats.  Don’t know if the Guardians have enough pitching.  But like everyone else in the AL, don’t know  if they could do anything if they ever got there.

Boy the American League is bad, weak. injured.  Like the neighbor’s yard, uncut grass, garbage, junked cars.  Not a pretty scene.
