This Fall Classic will be different, this Milwaukee Brewers-Tampa Bay Rays small market World Series matchup.

They are good, they play small ball, they play with a small payroll.

It won’t carry the drama of the Dodgers-Blue Jays 7-game war last fall.

In history-who knows if it matches the Yankees-vs-Dodgers back in the day…the Big Red Machine…Carlton Fisk’s Red Sox home run series…The Swinging A’s or the M&M Boys-Yankees.

These two teams are carbon copies of each other.

Milwaukee puts the ball in play with a wide variety of bats that wear out pitching staffs.  A batting order led by Chourio-Contreras-Turang-Bauers and Yelich.

A starting rotation paced by the 105mph fastball of Jacob Misiorowski, backed by Logan Henderson-Robert Gasser, and a big boy bullpen.

Timely hits, some home runs…a (.333) average with RISP.

A pitching rotation with a (2.03-ERA) in the playoffs and a bullpen (1.33-ERA)

Alot of home grown talent too.

Tampa is built differently, only 3-of their own players, but 16-prospects they traded for and then developed.  1-free agent.  1-international free agent.  A very unique group.

Junior Caminero (42HR) and Yandy Diaz came from Cleveland.

Trades also brought them Victor Mesa and Johnny DeLuca

Pitching ace Drew Rasmussen came out of the Brewers organization.

Closer Bryan Baker was with the Twins.

Recycled Freddy Peralta, the ex Brewers ace, was claimed from the Mets

Nick Martinez, the ex-Padre, has had a career year.

Jon Aranda is the only international player.

They hit home runs, they play small ball, and that staff is everything equal to Milwaukee’s arms with the exception of ‘The Miz’.

Don’t know if the nation will watch, because it is small ball..and small marked-small budget baseball.

The TV ratings might be awful if only fans from the Suncoast or the Beer Capital of the World are the only viewers.

But they own this right-they won their games, they are still playing.  Cannot take away the Brewers 110-wins nor the 105-the Rays have gotten.

Going to be fun-surely going to be different.

Brew Crew in six games maybe.  But maybe a Rays-Day in six too.

Enjoy it.
