New faces-New places.

Life after LeBron-Kawhi-JB

Who’s hurt-who’s healthy.

That pretty much sums up all the storylines as the NBA rolls the basketball out on the floor.

A quick look at each NBA-team starting here at home.

LA LAKERS..Life after LeBron James will give you Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and new center Walker Kessler.  The roster has 9-newcomers who bring all types of question marks.  Can Cam Carr be a high scoring rookie?  Will Quentin Grimes, the Sixer, become a solid scorer?  Is Colin Sexton-the ex Cav-Bull a quality 3-point shot guy?  Are they short on bigs?  With new ownership coming in, how critical a season is this for the GM-Rob Pelinka and even coach JJ Redick?

LA CLIPPERS…Life after Kawhi begins.  The owner is gone.  The GM is gone.  The roster is thread bar of any stars. Coach Tyronne Lue is staying loyal to ousted owner Steve Ballmer-wonder how he feels if this turns out to be a 60-loss season?  Ben Mathrurin left-so did John Collins.  Left behind are Darius Garland, Brandon Ingram-Brad Beal, newly acquired Rui Hachimura, Max Strus and draft pick Keaton Wagler.

Can you say lottery pick team?

OKLAHOMA CITY..Star-studded team, led by SGA (Alexander), Chet (Holmgren) and Jalen (Williams), plus fast developing star Ajay Mitchell.  But depth pieces are gone, Dort-Wiggins-Joe.  Might make a difference.

SAN ANTONIO..Great team, learning curve disappointment at the end of last season, so we see if they come back differently this year.  Does a 3-guard offense work?  Will Tobias Harris and rookie Tarris Reed make a difference?  Is depth an issue behind Victor Wembenyama’s greatness?

76ers..King James is there to join Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe.  Insurance policy veteran guard Kantavious Caldwell Pope will provide stability in the room.  Interesting to see how LeBron James role evolves.  And oh yes, Jaylen Brown comes from Boston (an in-division trade).  Do need to keep Embiid healthy and on the floor.  Maybe a 70-win team?

TORONTO..Kawhi Leonard, talented but tainted, returns to play with Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett.  What will the Canadian version of load management look like?

MIAMI..Giannis Antetokounmpo’s mail is being sent to South Beach.  He and Bam Adebayo make an awesome frontline.  Klay Thompson and Aaron Wiggins will be key shooters, with Bobby Portis’ defense and rebounds..  Good team but is it great team?

NY KNICKS..Great season-Jalen Brunson-great talent and leader, great bench.  But can they repeat?  Losing Mitchell Robinson as key backup center is big.  And how will the big man Karl Anthony Towns respond to getting snubbed over a contract extension?   How valuable is Anunoby?  Will there be value in add-on vets Mikal Bridges-Andre Drummond?

HOUSTON..Lots of talent, plenty of defense, but does it fit well around Kevin Durant?

Fred Van Vleet’s return is huge.  How good is Jabari Smith?  Alf Sengun-Aman Thompson are really talented.  Big year coming?

MINNESOTA..Quite a chemistry experiment after they subtracted Naz Reid and Julius Randle, replacing them with LaMelo Ball’s shooting skills and the upside of Jon Kuminga.  All that plus Gobert and McDaniel to go with Anthony Edwards.  1-basketball on the court-who gets the ball?  Explode or implode season?

BOSTON..Out goes Jaylen Brown, in comes Paul George.  Really?  Mitchell Robinson comes from the Knicks to work with Jayson Tatum.  But they are now a really older team.  Enough on the roster?

CHICAGO..Fascinating rookie Caleb Wilson, the arrival of shooter Norm Powell, joining Josh Gidley.  Do they have enough?

CLEVELAND..Lots of firepower with Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Evan Mobley and Jaret Allen.  Add in the grit of Payton Watson-ex Denver.  Like this team alot.  Could they go deep in the playoffs?

DENVER..Age-age-age, plus injuries.  Pay attention to who stays healthy vs who gets hurt.  Jokic-Murray-Gordon are the lifeline of the team.  Stunned they let Watson leave.  Is that era about to be over?

DETROIT..Great growth after all the painful years, but an early season playoff exit had to sting.  So they go add vets to go with Cade Cunningham, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren.  Bet Isaih Joe-John Collins and Taurian Prince make a big difference.

WASHINGTON..Old veteran Anthony Davis and his injuries, surrounded by alot of kids.  They added insurance vets Trae Young-Kris Middlelton too.  But the spotlight will be on top pick AJ Dysbantsa, Kyshaun George and fast emerging Alex Sarr.  The bad losing seasons may be about to end.

PHOENIX..Not sure of the blueprint to build around Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks.  Do Mikail Bridges and Luke Kennard make much of a difference?

UTAH..Might this be a Salt Lake City surprise package season.  Laurie Marrkkanen, Keyone George, Jaren Jackson are the foundation.  Ace Bailey and Darryn Peterson are the kids.  Jaxson Hayes, the ex Laker, adds grit.

MILWAUKEE..Life after Giannis may be painful.  Ty Herro, Jaime Jacqurez and Brayden Burries are all new components.  But none equal to who departed.

CHARLOTTE…Lots of firepower even with LaMelo Ball gone, but is there enough to help for 3-point star Kon Knepple?

ORLANDO..Yes Paolo Banchero and Des Bane and Franz Wagner, but the health of Jalen Suggs and C-Jon Issacs have held this team back.

ATLANTA..They can play defense, but can they score to help out newcomers CJ McCollom-Buddy Hield?  Sure have traded away lots of tealent.

NEW ORLEANS..Still waiting for Zion Williamson to emerge as a true star-so are they.  Trey Murphy-Benn Mathurin, Herbert Jones, Queen-Fears-Murray make for interesting roster pieces.

GOLDEN STATE…Final go round for Steph Curry-Draymond Green, but no Jimmy Butler-Kristaps Porzingas yet with health-injury issues.  How good will Yaxel Lendeborg be as a rookie?

DALLAS…Do have Cooper Flagg and the oft injured Kyrie Irving, but the rest of the roster has injury history among the bigs.

SACRAMENTO…Forever rebuilding.  This year’s rookie flavor is Darius Acuff.  They don’t have enough help for Keegan Murray-Domantas Sabonis.  And now they have lost free agent Ben Simmons to season ending injury.

INDIANA..Tyrese Haliburton is back after a year’s rehab from the bad Achilles injury.  Pascal Siakamis back.  Ivica Zubac starts in the paint.  Was that NBA finals series two years back as good as it will ever get?

MEMPHIS..Gone are the former stars, Ja Morant-Des Bane.  In comes top pick Cam Boozer.  Waiting to get healthy C-Zach Edey.  Unique mix of young players but a revolving door roster that is not complete.

PORTLAND..Problems everywhere from the cost cutting owner, to the aging Damian Lillard to the arrival of Ja Morant.  How is all this going to fit?

BROOKLYN..Barclay Center basketball equals last place basketball.  Some mix on the roster with Julius Randle joining Michael Porter.  Imagine trying to gain fans with the other team in the market (Knicks)?
