Everybody has to play somebody.

You cannot play Ohio State-Texas or Boise-Oregon every weekend

So San Diego State beatup a bad 1AA-Portland State team, and then fought a fierce fight but was overmanned against a UCLA team with tons of blue chip players.

This week, they play at their own level, a good James Madison team, that went from a 1AA power to a College Playoff team a year ago.

Sean Lewis has made great strides in finding talent, installing systems, and re-igniting the ‘fight’ in the Aztecs program.  Now he gets an equal test playing the JMU Dukes, a true litmus test, a team that scored 87-points against Wagner College..

We acquired a real group of eager kids in recruiting them

Kids handled motion and stress UCLA put on them

Run game-we did some things on..kids ran hard-hammered ball

Jaden Denegal took 3-or-4 hits but OL needs to do basic things

Accuracy-repetition is mother of all teachers

He dropped some dimes-big plays first week..UCLA week not so much

Practice rep-we try to make game real for him

He has 10-wins in 14-starts..yes alot of expectations

His whole body of work has been good

Errant throws do not take away from what he is doing

Great wisdom to have success..have challenge play against UCLA-type

If you do this long enough-you will get beat up…but remove emotion from it

Learn and get batter at it from the hard lesson

We are not here for moral victories..even if we played hard for 35-minutes

I project we will look good and play good on Saturday
