Random thoughts about baseball storylines at this hour in San Diego-Anaheim-Los Angeles.

PADRES..Do not know how much credibility there is for the Friars front office if you keep sending out the likes of Griff Canning, Lucas Gialito, German Marquez or Randy Vasquez to make starts.  The Padres need to be proactive to make a deal to get a starting pitcher before the trade deadline.  Cannot accept they would trade away relievers Mason Miller-Adrian Morejon.  Not sure what drives me more crazy, the lack of quality starting pitching, or the heart of the batting order, Machado-Merrill-Bogaerts-Sheets-Cronenworth hitting between (.205-and-.224).  A season of underachievement.

DODGERS..Dave Roberts says the team was honored for ‘winning’ another World Series and the White House trip has no ‘political implications’.  But at the end of the day, the world and the country is in chaos with Donald Trump’s leadership, and he is using the classy Dodgers organization for a photo-op, that Dave Roberts in sanctioning.

ANGELS..If they can get four young prospects for major league starters Jose Soriano and Reid Detmers, maybe they should do it.  If Mike Trout would waive his no trade clause, that could net them another 3-or-4 prospects.  That’s the way you rebuild.  Otherwise the pain of losing will go ‘on and on and on.’
