I had a stroke of good luck this week, cherry picking select games in the World Cup.
I love World Cup soccer. It is the creme-de-la creme of talent. it means a quality 90-minutes of the beautiful game.
So as I prepare to see Friday night’s USA match with Australia, and the hope the US can win, which clinches their Group play, we all wait to see if Christian Pulisic can play with this calf issue.
But this week was the prime example of greatness, and everytime I looked up, someone famous was putting the ball in the back of the net.
HARRY KANE of England exploded with a bullet shot off a deflection, and then a header for goals feuling the 3-Lions win.
KLYIAN MBAPPE exploded for France very early in their win, including a run to the side of the box and a sliding kick-deflection goal, plus a drive into traffic and a goal thru traffic.
LIONEL MESSI put three in the net for Argentina, runs, deflections, and rifle shot goals.
ERLING HAALAND..dominated right at the start, and dominant was the word-he could not be stopped in getting 2-goals early in Norway’s win, his size, his speed, impossible to stop.
And that was just the first round of group play.
Take some time to watch the presentation on Fox 5, round the clock, from the pregame anthems, to the network TV shows, to the games itself.
Worth the time to see the global best.
Worth watching
