What did you expect?
Last year’s NBA champion showed up, jerked the Lakers around, turned on the ignition, coasted, reignited the fire and then blew them away.
The Thunder, a dynasty in the making, acted like they were toying with the once proud Lakers.
They have so many athletes, the Lakers seem so much older and slower.
OKC has so many jumping jack athletes, while LA just stood around and watched guys go thru the them, around them and definitely over them.
Despite the efforts of a 41-year old legend, LeBron James’ 27-points were not enough.
OKC had 10-point leads, a 12 point lead, a 15 point bulge and then a 21-point lead near the end.
And it was just not an offense.
Did you pay attention to the wicked defense they laid all over the Purple & Gold. Austin Reaves could not breathe, must less shoot. The same for Marcus Smart. Those outside gunners went a combined (7-for-31) shooting.
Oh by the way, meet Chet Holmgren, unstoppable with 18 in the first half, and finishing with a (24P-12A) night. Take that DeAndre Ayton.
Only counts as one win, I know. I know there is no Luka Doncic-still hurt. But is also means there are probably just 3-more games left in the Lakers season.
What I expected. No longer a great Lakers franchise. Replaced by a new breed of athletes wearing OKC on the front of the jersey.
Lakers dynasty years ago. Thunder dynasty-arriving.
What did you expect?
